Stress and its many resulting consequences

Stress, what does that word mean? Is it feeling like you need a break from working? Is it tension in your body? Or just a feeling of being down and tired? Well, to me its all those things and any other feeling that’s negative.

What causes stress? Anytime an emotion is not being met due to another thing like overwork, physical pain or a bad relationship gets between you and that need for emotional contentment is what causes stress.

Stress is caused and in turn causes physical and mental dis-ease. If you don’t get enough sleep, or if you work too much to keep up with the bills or if the children keep you running and you don’t give time to yourself you will increase your stress in your life.

Who gets too much stress in their life? Everyone sometime in their life has too much things going on in their life and consequently get overloaded with stress. Does that mean everyone will be sick because of it? No, but it will and does have detrimental effects to a persons mind and body even if it’s not seen initially as a physical thing. It works at the unconscious level, hiding within the mind/body system but still wreaking havoc day by day.

So now what can be done to reverse the negative affects of stress on the body/mind system of a person? Well, it’s really common sense and taking a few moments to think about how one feels and what’s going on around them. If your body is telling you, by physical symptoms like tiredness, anger, getting sick, etcetera you need to head those warnings and take a step back and evaluate how your life is and how it’s affecting you.

If you feel tired get more sleep. If you are getting colds a lot, slow down and relax and re-nourish your body. Having headaches then maybe your in front of the T.V, computer or phone too much.

Get any type of exercise. If you don’t want to go to a gym, then walk, run, bike, skip rope, do calisthenics, or just stand and walk around. Any type of movement will bust that stress down to a better level and start to make you feel better.

Stress is really one of the most detrimental ideas and can lead to all sorts of very bad things for your body and mind. It has a snowball effect on your body and is a major contributor to so many diseases.

Eliminate dis-tress in your life and your life will be one filled with eu-stress which is good stress. And you get that good stress from exercising, reading, hobbies, rest periods from work, enjoyment found from family and friends.

So to break the cycle of stress do things besides working too much, worrying about too many things and getting wrapped up in television where your mind is taken from you and told what to think, buy and do. Enjoy life to the fullest and enjoy moments of natural health and well being because life is too short to be working all the time. Want to live longer? Well, then you have to learn to live better!
