Hi, and thank you for coming here and reading my blog. I hope you find some knowledge and/or wisdom. I was thinking over things for the last week and it came to me that lots of people are lost in the world and on the ocean of life. What do I mean?
Well, people get sick, hurt, abused or do the abuse, think negatively, believe all kinds of nonsense and just let life around them throw them forward two steps and back one step like a ship on an ocean that’s being tossed and turned by gale forces.
So, how does a captain of his/her ship deal with fear, trepidation, worry, anxiety about being caught in a storm with waves 100 feet high that’s battering the ships side’s and ripping at the mast? He/she calmly gives orders to all his/her hands, people who he trusts, sailors who’ve been through this sort of thing many times. His men are strong, intelligent, know how to go with nature instead of against it, able to logically think that you cannot beat nature so you had better learn to respect it, gain knowledge from it and use the wisdom received by it to weather not only the storm now, but, even greater dangers and storms that lurk on the horizon.
Each man/woman on the captain’s boat is an individual with their own certain talents and knowledge. The captain doesn’t need scared hands, anxious ones nor hurt ones. He wants and needs each quality of each man or woman on that boat and he needs each hand to be able to execute their particular talent without any hesitation and doubt. Because what’s going to happen to that ship and everyone on board if each piece of the whole puzzle, every member on that ship, is afraid, illogical, scared, frightened, let’s his/her thoughts get out of control of the good human nature?
The fearful one will be to afraid to do the job right, the illogical one will use guess work and blind assumption, the scared one will not even attempt to go on deck and the frightened one will eventually quit when, or if, the ship makes it to the shore. But, those effects from each one of those crew members will be what? The effects will be that each one will not do the job necessary to save the ship from sinking and thus the ship has a greater chance of sinking than to making it back to dry land.
The captain must always constantly learn, listen, gather knowledge, use his gained experience, use his wisdom and keep those in his inner circle from being afraid, angry, fearful, anxious, illogical, unknowledgeable, or assuming anything. He must teach them that they are the masters of their life; to listen to that inner voice; to learn from life’s experiences so to gain knowledge and wisdom so when another storm looms on the horizon they will be calm, loving, peaceful, harmonious with nature and respect and honor nature above all else.
Universal Peace To All,
Joe Vicente
